Eugene Laverty is tenth in the General classifications after the first WSBK Round.
An exciting weekend in Phillip Island, Australia, for both fans and professionals after a long stop due to the winter break. The Sprint race, news introduced by the Organizer, has been promoted with flying colors by everyone and it has given a high dose of adrenaline.
The same adrenaline that Eugene Laverty had to ride the new Ducati PanigaleV4R of Go Eleven Team and the same adrenaline that we at Bitubo had to work on such a performing bike. The long work of development undertaken is already showing results and it has seen Eugene Laverty often fight for positions that count and, above all, be able to compete on equal terms with opponents with as much higher-profile as the North Irishmen. In the opening round of 2019 WSBK, Eugene finished 12th after having struggled for positions that were extremely important for a good part of the race. In the Superpole Race, a 10-lap race introduced this year by the Organizer, Eugene finished ninth and he reached the same result a few hours later in Race 2. Thanks to these good results Laverty is now twelfth in the General classifications with good growth prospects for the next races.
