Rocco Landers debuts on the RS 660, taking pole position and winning race two of the Twins Cup at Atlanta, also setting the circuit record. Teammate Gus Rodio consolidates his lead in the championship with two brilliant second-place finishes. The extreme competitiveness of Italian twin-cylinder bikes is confirmed with half of the podiums taken by the Aprilia RS 660.
